The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to Hicks Bay for a medical event. The patient was assessed by the on-board critical care flight paramedic and transported to Gisborne Hospital in a stable condition. Thanks to St John colleagues working from their temporary emergency site at Hicks Bay Lodge, and to the Major Incident Support Team (MIST) volunteers for providing power, internet, and logistical support.
