The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to Te Araroa for a medical event. The patient was initially treated by St John personnel before being handed into the care of the on-board critical care flight paramedic. Following further assessment and treatment, the patient was transported to Gisborne Hospital in a stable condition.
