Having acted as chairman since 2001, in September 2024 Patrick retired from that role but remained as trustee to lead important projects in play. Born and raised in Gisborne, Patrick is a retired sheep and cattle farmer who served on Gisborne District Council (1989-2001), is a past provincial president of Federated Farmers, and is also a Justice of the Peace.
