Dispatched to Te Araroa for a patient experiencing stroke symptoms. Following assessment and treatment, the patient was transported to Gisborne Hospital for specialist care.

The crew travelled to Wairoa to assist with a cardiac arrest. After the patient was transferred to Wairoa Hospital by Hato Hone St John, care was handed over before the Hawke’s Bay fixed-wing air ambulance completed the transfer to Wellington due to poor weather conditions.

Responded to a patient who had suffered a fall resulting in a head injury. Following assessment and treatment, the patient was transported to Gisborne Hospital in a stable condition.

Shortly after returning from the previous mission, the crew responded by Rapid Relief Vehicle (RRV) to a local aviation incident. Two patients with minor injuries were assessed and treated on scene.

Conducted an urgent inter-hospital transfer, transporting a patient suffering a heart attack (STEMI) from Gisborne Hospital to Waikato Hospital for specialist cardiac treatment.
4 July, 2026
Responded to a horse-riding incident. Following assessment and treatment, the patient was transported to Gisborne Hospital in a stable condition after the crew carried out a precision landing in a muddy paddock.
2 July, 2026
Responded to one of two cardiac emergencies occurring almost simultaneously in the Nūhaka area, alongside the Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter. A local GP who happened to be passing by provided critical early care before the patient was transported to hospital for further treatment.
1 July, 2025
Conducted an inter-hospital transfer, transporting a critically unwell patient from Whakatāne Hospital to Waikato Hospital for specialist treatment. Poor weather prevented the crew from returning to Gisborne, requiring an overnight stay in Tauranga.
30 June, 2026
Dispatched to Tikitiki for a medical event involving an elderly patient. Hato Hone St John crews provided initial treatment before the patient was transported to Gisborne Hospital in a stable condition for further investigation.
24 June, 2026
The crew were tasked to Te Puia Springs Hospital to retrieve a patient requiring further treatment. The patient was transported to Gisborne Hospital.
24 June, 2026
Later the same day, the rescue helicopter responded to Ruatoria for a medical event. Following assessment, the patient was transported to Gisborne Hospital for further care.

Responded to a trauma incident. Following assessment and treatment, the patient was transported to Gisborne Hospital in a serious condition.
10 June, 2026
Conducted an inter-hospital transfer, transporting a patient who had suffered a stroke from Gisborne Hospital towards Wellington Hospital for specialist treatment.

Responded to a medical event in Te Araroa. Hato Hone St John crews provided initial care before handing the patient over to the rescue helicopter team. The patient was stabilised and transported to hospital for further treatment.

Dispatched to Tikitiki following a rugby injury. The patient was assessed on scene before being transported to Gisborne Hospital for further treatment.

Responded to a trauma incident in Potaka. Following assessment and treatment on scene, the patient was transported to Gisborne Hospital in a stable condition.
