The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to a motor vehicle accident in the Waioeka Gorge where our team winched two patients from the river, and with the support of the Aerocool Rescue Helicopter (Tauranga), six patients were treated on-scene and each helicopter flew two patients to Whakatane Hospital.
