The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to Lake Waikaremoana for a medical event. The on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Waikato Hospital. The crew thanks the Department of Conservation boat team and all who assisted in ensuring the operation ran smoothly.
